Container forming and dismantling

Our warehouses also act as commercial transhipment platforms; the facility has access to a railway siding, there are covered and external railway ramps as well as docks for containers, semi-trailers and low-tonnage vehicles, making it possible for us to transhipment from railway carriages and containers. The goods may be transferred onto semi-trailers or low-tonnage vehicles using ramps from level 0. Depending on our Customers' needs, the process may involve forming and marking transport units, order picking, etc.

Since Damco also performs distribution services in Poland, the company's Distribution Centres handle cross-docking and package cargo transhipment. In the warehouse process, the parcels may be dimensioned, weighed, temporarily stored, additionally labelled or formed.
