Damco is one of the few companies operating in the Polish market that have the suitable infrastructure, permits, concessions and the essential knowledge for the storage of goods under pharmaceutical and veterinary supervision. Many years of experience have allowed Damco to become the largest entity performing services under logistics outsourcing arrangements.
The warehouse in Mszczonów includes a dedicated space of over 10,000 sqm with the status of a consignment warehouse for pharmaceutical products; we also run several pharmaceutical wholesale warehouses and we have 7,000 sqm of space where goods under veterinary supervision may be stored. Our processes comply with the legal requirements laid down by the Pharmaceutical Law and with Good Distribution Practices. All operations are monitored by a pharmacist and by internal units that take care of operation quality. Our offering also includes an A-type public customs warehouse and a wide range of additional services, such as co-packing, co-manufacturing, supply chain management and transporting pharmaceuticals under controlled temperature. The safety of our customers' products is of utmost importance to us; we thought about it already at the warehouse design stage, when we fitted it with uninterrupted power supply systems in case of blackout, as well as with other systems to ensure that a suitable temperature will be maintained in the storage spaces, with refrigerators and cold chambers to store products at low temperatures. The processes and equipment are complemented with IT tools that allow us to store pharmaceuticals at SKU, lot number and expiry date level. The RF technology makes it possible to use GS1 codes to identify products and entire lots of goods. 23 August 2010, Damco meets the standards of Good Manufacturing Practice.
